Company Profile:

F.A.T.S., an acronym for Forwarding African Transport Services, first established its African Footprint in July 1992. Eighteen years later, the name F.A.T.S. is synonymous with transport into Africa and F.A.T.S. is contracted daily to handle Africa business.

Caron Harris, the recently appointed CEO of this young and dynamic company has been the Financial Director of the board since inception.

During a recent interview, Ms. Harris pointed out that F.A.T.S. has the necessary infrastructures to meet the demands of an ever-changing market; namely owned premises in close proximity to the harbour, bond stores for in-transit cargo as well as a team of thirty eight (38) qualified individuals competent in handling all International sea, air and road freight requirements. This infrastructure is carefully maintained by the continuous investment in training and empowering of team members.  All staff are capable of not only coping with the demands of the industry changes, but also with the demands of the world markets.
Ms. Harris spends many hours personally training her team on all levels.  The management team was appointed by Ms. Harris for their strengths, attitude and passion they bring to FATS, and in turn, for the service they are able to offer FATS clients.

All companies conducting business with FATS will be struck by the professionalism displayed by each and every team member across the board. FATS is a company where real people work, ably mixing professionalism and their skills with current and up to date training.  The list of loyal customers who partner with FATS is evidence enough that FATS meet all their customer’s requirements. 

With the focus firmly on Africa, F.A.T.S. has shown tremendous growth in the field of project work into Africa. Projects worth millions of Dollars were successfully completed by F.A.T.S. on behalf of our clients and overseas agents.
Although F.A.T.S. has a sizeable airfreight division successfully handling airfreight cargo and air charters on a regular basis, it is the unwavering vision of Ms. Harris to grow this division to one of the biggest players in the world market.
