New Regulation for AIR IMPORT SHPT to Taiwan from 1-July-2016

Effective on 01-July, Taiwan Customs set a new regulation for AIR import EDI systems requirement, which all AIR import shipment cargo manifest has to be transmitted to customs systems 2 hours before flight landing Taiwan, and without cargo manifest being transmitted by airlines in Taiwan, the fine will be imposed min. USD 200 up to USD 1000.

Most of the airlines in Taiwan would ask their HQ / Branches / GSA offices regarding this new regulation to Taiwan, however, still, please kindly double check with the airlines at origin to require for AMS / ENS (HAWB data together with MAWB data) to transmit the cargo manifest to Taiwan Customs 2 hours before flight landing to Taiwan to avoid any penalty.
Also, AIF TPE HQ would like to have the pre-advise and pre-alert at least one day before the ETA.
