Dear Lognet members,
After dedicating over 14 years to the establishment, growth and amazing success of Lognet Global, Managing Director, Brian Churchman, will retire at the end of 2024.
Helping to nurture and grow the network right from its earliest days, Brian has been a fantastic leader and role model, creating one of the world’s most respected and dynamic group of freight forwarders.
Introducing a range of exciting and valuable benefits to members over the past decade, Brian has stuck to the founding principles of restricting numbers in each market and ensuring only the highest quality logistics providers are able to enrol.
Having forged strong working relationships and friendships throughout the network, Brian has always been available and willing to help members with all and any issues and requests. Alongside his team in Bangkok, he has overseen Lognet’s continuing transition into the new digital era and the foundations he has established will ensure the network continues to go from strength to strength in the future.
Brian will continue to work full-time as Lognet’s Managing Director until 31 December and, although this is still some eight months away, all Lognet Global and WCAworld staff wish Brian a healthy, happy and well-deserved retirement.
Expressing thanks for all the support received from members over the years, Brian said: “I am truly proud to have been involved in the development of Lognet Global and in supporting those members who put their trust, time and effort into the network. Without doubt I will miss the camaraderie, especially during the conferences, and wish all members every success in both their business and personal lives.”
Replacing Brian as Managing Director from 1 January 2025 will be long-term WCAworld senior manager Bryce Barnhart. Bryce has some 15 years network experience, having been regional manager for North America for WCAworld, as well as heading up in-house NVOCC All World Shipping. Brian will oversee the smooth transition of responsibilities to Bryce during the second half of 2024, ensuring he is fully-equipped to maintain the ethos, standards and progression of Lognet.
Brian will host his final Lognet Global conference in a few weeks’ time and would be delighted to see as many of you there as possible so he has an opportunity to thank you all personally for your support. Bryce will also be in attendance and will be pleased to hear your input and thoughts on the future direction of the network.
On behalf of all Lognet Global and WCAworld staff we once again wish to thank Brian for all his hard work and dedication and we look forward to seeing you all in Madrid in May.
Best regards,
