Lift Freight Services Amsterdam Schiphol Airport obtains full DG storage license for their HQ / AMS warehouse.

11-10-2018

After careful planning by Lift Freight Services operations management and testing and quality checking of all fire extinguishing systems, automated alarm systems, fire proof / delaying walls, dangerous goods drip trays and internal LFS operating procedures by the regional government and Schiphol Airport Fire Services, as well as dangerous goods training of all warehouse staff, the Dutch agent received their dangerous goods storage license (PGS15), allowing for 10 metric tons of DG product to be stored. Whilst it is common to be allowed to cross-dock dangerous goods without specific licensing (in and out of the warehouse within 12 to 24 hours max), storing DG for any period longer than that, requires this specific license.

The license, combined with the storage capacity in their own warehouse and the geographically very interesting location of Amsterdam, creates new business opportunities for Lift Freight Services but also for their valued partner agents in this network. Feel free to reach out to Lift Freight Services to discuss options for DG related projects or shipments (for which dangerous goods documentation and packing is also arranged inhouse), they will be happy to assist via their team of experienced DG operators and salespeople.
